Spring is here! EcoCradle™ mulch

This picture is from Chief Mycologist, Sue VanHook’s, garlic garden that has just started sprouting through the “MycoMulch” that she’s made from old EcoCradle™ parts. She reports that this stuff works great to lock in soil moisture, and keep down weeds.

We’ve also been working with Capital District Community Gardens (CDCG) and their youth powered urban farm project. Their students are experimenting with different ways to compost and mulch EcoCradle™ for use on their organic farm in Troy, NY. We’ll post more about this with pictures in the near future… stay tuned!
